The Best Food in MKE

Image
Let's Talk About Food!  Behold! I have complied a list of my favorite places to chow down in Milwaukee. If you find you've got the rumblies that only food can satisfy, allow me to offer you some advice. Prepare to be a very happy omnivore. Fushinami- All you can eat sushi. Need I say more? Honestly, after being so spoiled by Fushinami not many other sushi places cut it for me these days. I always think I should try something new but they keep pulling me back in. The prices are a bit steep but, for everything that you get it's totally worth it. Fushinami offers a wide variety of different rolls, drinks and appetizers. And when it comes to portions size Fushinami will not cut you short. To add to the excitement, they also have a full-size buffet so you can munch while you wait. My favorite rolls include but are not limited to, the Godzilla, the Spicy Tuna Sandwich and the Outstanding Roll. Warning: Fushinami is not for the faint of heart! When you come here you better b

Exploring the Gateway to the West There's nothing like a road-trip to satisfy one's need for adventure! All too often I find myself yearning to explore new surroundings. In an attempt to satisfy my wanderlust I decided on a destination within bearable driving distance. That destination was none other than the gateway to the West, St.Louis!  St.Louis is the perfect escape for a few days of fun! Since we were only in the city for the weekend my husband and I were on a bit of a time crunch. However, I can confidently say that we used each moment we had to our advantage! Here are some highlights from our adventure. The City Museum  If you look up things to do in St.Louis the City Museum will surely be one of the top search results. How does one even begin to describe this place!? Just by looking at pictures you can tell the City Museum is unique. Imagine a ginormous jungle gym for children and adults alike. Huge tangles of metal crawl spaces are intermingled with gut

Why I Love Airbnb

Image
Let's get one thing straight, Airbnb rules! Unless you've been living under a rock for the past few years I'm fairly certain you've heard of the company Airbnb. If not, let me give you a quick low-down. Airbnb is the travelers best friend, think bed and breakfast minus the doilies(so stereotypical I know). Honestly though, I love this service! They allow you to book a room, a floor or heck, even a full house! How it works is people act as hosts and allow you to rent out their living space for whatever amount of time you need. No, these people aren't creepers or anything like that. They're actually quite the opposite, an Airbnb host has their own profile with ratings and summaries about themselves so you can be sure to pick the right place for you. In my experience these people are often quite hospitable but also know how to give you your own space. Usually you bump into them here or there but they tend to be out and about most of the time leaving you to relax

Schmidt's Natural Deodorant Review

Image
True Life: Armpits Can be Smelly. Sometimes you buy new deodorant. These are the facts of life.  If you're anything like me, trying new deodorants can be "fun" (in a very adultish manner) yet risky. There are so many different brands and scents wishing to be swiped beneath your pits. You want to try something new but don't want to stray from your brand that's tried and true. We all have that reliable deo. that never lets you down, faithfully keeping your pits dry and stench-free.   Trying a new deodorant brand is a risk, I get it! Heck, I can be a sweaty-beast myself from time to time. Leaving behind your trusty antiperspirant can be tricky, that's why I did it so you don't have to!  For the past week I have been wearing Schmidt's Natural Deodorant instead of Toms (my normal go to). I don't really have a reasoning for the switch aside from liking the smell of the new deo. and thinking "why not switch it up." First things fi

The Milwaukee Public Market

Let's Eat!  Chances are if you've visited the fair city of Milwaukee in the past you may have checked out the ever so glorious Milwaukee Public Market. The Public Market is a great place to stop for a  bite to eat or for a bit of sight-seeing when you're out and about in the Third Ward. This place has a little somethin' somethin' for everyone which is why it's one of my favorites. If you're feeling sushi they've got it. Craving a sweet treat? Look no further. Perhaps you want to keep it simple and are yearning for a sandwich? They have you covered! http://www.greenkitchenmke.com/Milwaukee-Sign-night-4.jpg Featuring bakeries, wine bars, sandwich shops, Mexican food and not to mention cheeses galore (this is Wisconsin after all) the Milwaukee Public Market has it all! The only downside to all of this fabulous-ness is everyone wants to experience it. If you're visiting on a weekend or over the lunch hour you can expect there to be a crowd. No
