The Milwaukee Public Market
Let's Eat!
Chances are if you've visited the fair city of Milwaukee in the past you may have checked out the ever so glorious Milwaukee Public Market. The Public Market is a great place to stop for a bite to eat or for a bit of sight-seeing when you're out and about in the Third Ward.
This place has a little somethin' somethin' for everyone which is why it's one of my favorites. If you're feeling sushi they've got it. Craving a sweet treat? Look no further. Perhaps you want to keep it simple and are yearning for a sandwich? They have you covered!
Featuring bakeries, wine bars, sandwich shops, Mexican food and not to mention cheeses galore (this is Wisconsin after all) the Milwaukee Public Market has it all! The only downside to all of this fabulous-ness is everyone wants to experience it. If you're visiting on a weekend or over the lunch hour you can expect there to be a crowd. No worries though, in my experience the wait has always been worth it!
I have yet to experience everything the Public Market has to offer but I do have some favorites! If I'm fancying a sandwich I almost always go to the Green Kitchen. Here I order the beloved #14, a Panini with turkey, artichoke spread and loads of veggies. It comes hot off the press in a generous serving sure to satisfy even the largest of appetites.
Almost impossible to resist is C. Adam's Bakery. Showcasing ginormous cake slices, tantalizing cupcakes and seemingly endless trays of cookies your sweet-tooth will cry hallelujah! I can personally vouch that these treats are as delightful as they look. Sure, the cake slices are humongo but once in a while you've got to treat yourself!

Milwaukeeans love their coffee! With many specialty roasters in the area there are lots of different brews to choose from. Anodyne Coffee is the java pit stop featured at the Public Market. If you need a little pick me up to help fuel your adventure for the day give Anodyne a whirl!

As I said earlier these are only a few of the many different food and beverage options the Milwaukee Public Market has to offer. I have yet to be disappointed by a visit and I'm sure you will love your experience too! Oh and here's a special insider tip just for you... There is a ramp next to the market where you can park free for up to an hour with proof of purchase inside the market! Just be sure to ask whoever checks you out to give you a parking voucher.
