Well, Hello There

Greetings fellow travelers!  Driving from Wisconsin to Nashville is quite the trek filled with interesting sights. Seeing as we were in the car for hours on end I had a lot of time to gather my thoughts. I will leave them with you here... Thought number one: Are the majority of drivers south of WI absolutely terrible at driving!? I know there are plenty of less than admirable drivers here in the land of cheese especially if you dare to voyage near the city. However, we noticed many road rage inducing driving trends as we descended further from our starting point. You may or may not have heard of the infamously endearing term Wisconsinites use to describe those special kinds drivers found in Illinois, "FIB", aka F***ing Illinois Basta***....(seeing as I don't want to muck up my blog with those naughty words you can put the pieces together ;] ). It's finally here! The season we've all been desperately waiting for has decided to make an appearance! Let me be the first to tell you Summer your presence is much obliged. Happy early days of Summer ya'll! Summer is arguably the best time of the year with Fall taking a close second (due to Halloween of course). Hello One and All.  I come here today to share a story, a story of loss and a dream of vengeance.  Just the other day on a Tuesday afternoon much like many Tuesdays before something unspeakable happened. I was using the loo like any lady must throughout the day, and with me I had my lunchbox. Yes, I know that lunchboxes and bathrooms shouldn't go together but it was for this very fear that became my reality that I brought my box with me into the terrifying place called the women's restroom, hanging my steadfast and reliable lunchbox from the tiny little hook in the stall. It seems I was rather distracted while taking care of business and after wrapping up I walked out of there without a care in the world.  I began walking home, that's when I noticed, my beloved lunchbox was nowhere to be found! Greetings, Happy early as all get morning up to you!  Thanks to daylight savings time I woke up today at 5:20 AM which would have normally been 4:20 AM a day ago, I would like my hour back now thank you very much.... AHHH! Curse this strange clock changing we must do. Alas, despite my lack of sleep I will voyage on! I want to talk to you about a super nifty place I explored this weekend in the Milwaukee Area called Lapham Peak. Lapham Peak is a lovely state park just west of the city offering a great mini adventure for the day. Jake and I went on a nice hike on one of the larger trails and even climbed "the Stairway to Heaven", you don't do that everyday! Lapham Peak is gorgeous and action packed with creatures of all sorts such as deer and chipmunks galore! Dragon, Dragon! Watch the Dragon!! Alright, I must admit I may be kind of, sort of, maybe a little late on this one but I have finally been introduced to the excellence that is Dragon Ball Z!! Yes, this show was on when I was a child, yes I'm a grown woman watching cartoons, what are you gonna do about it!? Dragon Ball Z kicks freaking butt! Good day to you!  I want to inform you all of a fantastic discovery I've recently made! I have experienced an out of this world revelation.... are you ready for this? You can eat Kiwi skins!!! Say whaaaaaaaaa!?!?! Alright, perhaps this isn't eye opening news to all, maybe not even most but for me this is a game changer. I always avoided eating the kiwi skins because way back in the day I heard a rumor that the kiwi skin was bad for you, perhaps even poisonous!! *GASP* Now, I never quite believed this because if a kiwi's skin was poisonous I doubt we'd be able to eat the fruit in the first place but alas I always avoided the skin regardless. Flash forward to earlier this week, I had bought two kiwis and was thinking to myself how much it sucks cutting these little buggers up, I told mah-man-thang that he should look up if its safe to eat kiwi skins and sure thing it is!!!
