Image
Because adventures make you hungry... Here are a few of my favorite camping meals! Breakfast: Breakin' the fast ohhhh yeah!! Wake up to some tasty eggs and kielbasa sausage straight off the griddle! What you need- *Eggs *Kielbasa/Sausage *Tinfoil pan *Non-stick cooking spray Begin by spraying the tinfoil pan because no one likes it when everything sticks to the bottom. Next, add eggs and meat then throw it on the grill or campfire. In just a few minutes SHAZAMMM, delightful, easy, nutritious breakfast. OHHHH YEAH, get that energy flowing! Lunch- Now for lunch I do confess, I tend to make it liquid half the time whilst out in the wilderness, AKA pop the top on some PBR's.... orrrr I'll be out hiking and just snack on some trail mix to hold me over until the feast that is dinner. Here is a recipe for some tasty DIY granola bars, and they only take 5 ingredients to make, what more could you want! You will need- *1/2 cup of milk *1 cup pean

Perrot State Park

Greetings Earthlings! It's been awhile since I wrote you a little something, something... and I apologize! Please forgive me for you see I've been terribly busy livin' it up and having fun! :D Exploring, sunshine, adventure, s'mores and an ice cold beer... that's right I'm talking CAMPING! Camping is my true love. Waking up with the sun, getting off the grid and just doing whatever the day brings. Yesterday marked the end of my first camping trip of the summer and by golly I'm going to tell you about it. Where you ask? Perrot State Park in Trempealeu Wisconsin. GORGEOUS. How else can you sum up a place like this. Rolling bluffs, vegetation every which way and the B-E-A-UUUTIFUL Mississippi River winding about. Trempealeu is totally under-hyped. This was my second trip to Perrot and prior to that I had never heard of it. Pictures of the park on the Wisconsin State Parks website were enough to make us book a trip no questions asked, right there and then

Mysterious Creatures in Wisconsin

Image
Nothing is more fascinating to me than the unexplained. Paranormal encounters, strange happenings, and mysterious creatures, I can't get enough! There are some things we can't comprehend, surpassing our understanding of the norm. Today I want to blab about some strange creatures that have been sighted throughout Wisconsin. lindagodfrey.com The Beast of Bray Road: Lurking throughout the wooded hills and cornfields is a wolf-like creature. Shaggy, dark and menacing this cryptid is different from it's canine friends. What makes this animal special is it's ability to stand upright on it's hind legs. If that's not frightening enough for you, the creature is also reported to have lantern-like eyes and fangs that are ready to take a bite out of whatever sorry soul it encounters. Sightings of this bi-pedal wolfman have been reported for over 60 years. Most often late at night. Aside from various witness reports, Wisconsin's Werewolf was brought t

Rawrrr like a Dino

Jurassic-freaken-World. This movie blows minds. Action, destruction, humor, romance and flippin dinosaurs. Yes, just yes. This is what dreams are made of people. I can finally breath again, Jurassic World is so action packed and suspenseful I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Here's a quick little overview for those who haven't experienced the glory yet... So there's this place called Jurassic World, it's an island, it's a theme park, and everyone and their grandma wants to be there. Not mention they have DINOSAURS!!! Enter Chris Pratt, who trains raptors and specializes overall in being B.A. Insert two brothers visiting their aunt on a vacation... Their aunt being a higher up at the park who gives them all the sweet hookups and she can really bust it in heels... The big bosses at Jurassic World create a new species of dinosaur as an attraction for the park, this goes poorly as this new dino is not havin' it. Mystery

Moooooooovieee Review!!

Greetings Traveler!!! (That's my Claptrap impression) Last night I saw a movie... and I do believe a review is in order, the name of the film you ask? Insidious 3 !!!! AHHHHH (que obnoxious ear destructing orchestra music) Honestly, I didn't know they were coming out with another Insidious movie. I was nomming on some delicious froyo when I saw the trailer. Shout-out to froyo, you never let me down! $5 movie Tuesday happened to rolled around and off to the theater we went. With a cupcake and cookie smuggled in my purse we were good to go! Fact about me: It's my ritual to sneak in food some notable smuggles include: sushi, cottage cheese and an entire sheet cake... stealth-mode activated(also ew, cottage cheese). Insidious 3. I really, really liked this movie! I enjoyed the third chapter more than the first and second combined. The super jumpy crowd I watched it with helped enhance the experience. Who doesn't love hearing a terrified, "uhhhh uhh" or

Uber Deliciousness Healthier Margarita Recipe :D

Image
Here it is the delightful margarita recipe I was raving about... What you'll need -Tequila -Limes -Agave -Sea Salt The simplicity of this is fantastic. Step 1 -Salt that rim!! Take some salt, pour it on a plate and cover the rim of your glass with it! The salty sweet combo is savory and magical in your mouth. Step 2 -Crush up some icy ice if you so please, crush it up good you gotta keep that tasty drink chilled,yo! Step 3 -Squeeze in that lime juice! Limes are delightful and delicious, their flavor flav will make your taste buds happy! I used 1 lime per drink, but hey knock yourself out, get as limey as you'd like! Step 4 -In goes 2 ounces of that beauty we call tequila. Step 5 -Add a dash of Agave, I measured it out using a spoon! 1-2 spoons worth tasted just right for me. That's it, you're done! Now have yourself a seat and sip on that tasty drank you just created! It's easy, it's healthier, it's a fiesta for all!!

Mernnnnday

it's Monday!! The ever dreaded day is upon us, that's alright though it's not so bad. without Mondays the weekend wouldn't be so sweet! Speaking of weekends, I hope you had a great one! Mine was splendid and action packed! We kicked our weekend off with an early morning hike at a mysterious park tucked away in Muskego WI. It reminded me of something out of Left 4 Dead. Overgrown trails, abandoned boarded up buildings and not another soul in sight. Apparently the land was bought by the DNR and they're letting nature take over. Although it was a bit eerie the park made for some good exploration! In other news in Milwaukee County, this past Saturday marked the first annual Paranormal Conference! Hats off to them! I am an extreme paranormal enthusiast, so this event was a dream come true for me. Awesomely enough the organizers of this event wanted it to be free for everyone and anyone to join! The day went something like this... Speakers with topics rangin

The Odd Coincidence

Image
Hey there frandsssss.  So lately it seems I keep hearing about sleep paralysis, I saw an article about it on Buzzfeed earlier this week and just yesterday I was at a paranormal convention where the topic was briefly mentioned. I find this to be an odd coincidence, especially being someone who has personally suffered from what I believe to have been sleep paralysis multiple times... If you don't know what sleep paralysis is and you haven't started googling it already I'll give you a quick briefing. Sleep paralysis happens either right before falling asleep or right as you are waking up. When we sleep our brain kind of sends our bodies into stand by so we don't act out our dreams resulting in things like sleep walking and thrashing around in our sleep. When sleep paralysis occurs your body is in this numb "paralyzed" state, causing you to be unable to move or speak which is completely frightening because sleep paralysis goes hand in hand with very te

Spooky Tales

Greetings! For as long as I can remember I have been fascinated by the unknown. I was that creepy kid in elementary who checked-out the books on the Salem Witch Trials as I tried to record EVPs on my crappy tape recorder. Honestly, now that I've grown up I can't say much has changed. I still lust over the mystery of urban legends, tales of hauntings and wandering spirits. Luckily, I'm not one to say no to adventure. Wisconsin is home to many strange things. I've been fortunate enough to find a few crazy companions who enjoy embarking on "Haunted Adventures" together. These are a few of my favorites.  One of the most infamous spooky places in my hometown of Appleton, Wisconsin is Kate Blood's grave. Granted, with a last name like Blood poor Kate was destined to be met with superstition after passing to the other side. Today, Kate's grave is rumored to be a paranormal hot-spot. The most popular version of the Blood tragedy claims that one day Kate w
