No, no not like that... get your head out of the gutter. While I can't promise you any spooky suitors you can spend the night at one of Milwaukee's most famous haunted locations! 


Voted the 5th most haunted bar in the entire nation, Shakers inspires curiosity in believers and skeptics alike. Built in 1894 atop an old cemetery the building was destined for paranormal activity from the beginning. Over the years it has served as a brewery, distribution center and a soda bottling company. However, things were not as innocent as they appeared. As you'll learn on the tour some of the businesses were only a front to mask mob activity led by none other than the infamous Al Capone. 


Where there are mobsters there are other crooked activities too. It might come as no surprise that the upper floors of the building were home to Milwaukee's very own brothel. Lust, pleasure and tears, emotions ran high as ladies as young as 16 entertained rowdy criminals. 

Today, life at Shakers is a little less gruesome but no less exciting. Years of traumatizing activity have made some spirits permanent residents. Stop by to say hello with a tour and a cigar.

New Orleans' rich history made for the perfect setting for season three of AHS, Coven. From Voodoo Queen Marie Laveau to deranged mass murderer Delphine LaLaurie, these figures weren't just characters in a TV show, they were real people who lived out their days in The Big Easy and who left their mark on the city forever. What to do in Crescent City

I recently checked a visit to NOLA off my bucket list and was impressed with all the city had to offer. A diverse mix of locals and tourists, music everywhere and an interesting art scene, our five days in New Orleans were well spent.  Exploring the French Quarter  Now I know that most people will tell you not to spend your trip trapped in the French Quarter, but man, there is just so much to see and do there. Odds and ends shops, tantalizing food and of course, booze, the French Quarter is jam-packed with excitement every which way you look.
